My niece was always crafty. She loved making things with her hands, and she was always coming up with new ideas. So when she asked me to help her make a DIY earring holder, I was more than happy to do it.

We talked about what kind of holder she wanted, and she showed me some examples online. We finally decided on a design, and I went to work.

I started by finding some old scrap wood in my garage. I cut it into the correct size and shape, and then sanded it down so it would be smooth.

Then I helped her paint it. She wanted a bright pink color, so we went with that. After the paint was dry, we added some hooks for the earrings.

Finally, we hung it up in her room and she was able to start using it right away. She was so excited, and I was happy to have helped her make something she loved.

Drilling small holes in the chosen material at evenly spaced intervals is an important step in the construction process. This ensures that the material will be evenly supported and will not warp or sag over time. It also allows for any expansion or contraction that may occur due to temperature changes. In addition, it provides a way to attach the material to other objects or surfaces.

When drilling the holes, be sure to use a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the screws or nails that will be used to fasten the material in place. This will ensure a tight fit and prevent the risk of the screws or nails working their way loose over time. With a little care and attention, drilling small holes in the chosen material can help to ensure a successful and long-lasting construction project.

Before you start planting your garden, it’s important to take some time to prepare the ground. One way to do this is to divide the space into individual planting holes. This will give each plant enough room to grow and prevent them from crowding each other. Cut thin strips of wood, metal, or any other sturdy material to use as dividers between each hole. You can also use a spade or trowel to mark out the boundaries of each planting hole. Once you’ve divided the space, you’re ready to start planting your garden!

How to make a DIY earring holder using a picture frame and some plastic canvas

Do you have a surplus of earrings but nowhere to store them? A good way to keep your earrings organized is with a holder. There is no guarantee that you will find an earring holder that is both affordable and aesthetically pleasing.

If you find yourself in this circumstance, you can always make your own. There are various, simple ways to construct an earring holder. Below is the step-by-step tutorial on how to make DIY earring holder.

But first, you must decide if you want something with earring slots or if a wall-mounted jewelry organizer would work better. However, if you’re looking for something unique and useful, this DIY project is for you! A wooden support structure will hold a plastic canvas.

Step 1

Get a wooden frame and toss the backing, but hold on to the glass panel. You will use it to make a plastic canvas or mesh pattern.

A simple frame is fine, but you’re free to get as fancy as you like.

Step 2

Paint the frame with any color of your liking and give it time to dry. You can use either acrylic paint or spray paint. Be thorough and also get the frame’s sides and back.

You may use two coats of paint if your frame is particularly dark or if too light. It’s important to give the first coat time to dry before applying the second.

Step 3

Consider adding more embellishments to the frame, especially if it is a simple frame. You have the option of leaving your frame in its natural state or dressing it up with additional embellishments. Below are suggestions to help you get started:

  • Put some glue along the frame and glue some rhinestones or plastic gems on it.
  • Draw some designs on the frame with silver, gold, or black using a permanent marker.
  • Paint some bold motifs on the frame, like stars, stripes, or love
  • Decorate the picture frame with glitter glue drawings

Step 4

Make a plastic canvas replica by tracing the glass panel with a marker. Plastic canvas mimics the appearance of a plastic screen or mesh. Its rigidity makes it perfect for using yarn to wave patterns upon. Please choose a color that complements your frame or goes well with it.

Step 5

Remove the plastic canvas or mesh by cutting it out. Be careful to cut inside the lines, or the finished product may slip through your hands.

Step 6

Switch the picture frame’s orientation so the back faces you. Begin by tracing a line of adhesive along the inside of the frame, right where the glass used to be. Do not hesitate to press the canvas into the glue.

Hot glue or a high-strength industrial glue will work here. Standard craft glue won’t hold together well enough.

Step 7

Select a hue that complements your glass, and then have it trimmed to fit the width of your frame.

Step 8

To hang your frame, make a loop with the ribbon and adhere it to the back. Make a knot in the ribbon by tying the two ends together. To secure the knot, dab some glue over the upper back of the frame and press the knot into it.

  • You can hang the frame’s metal hanging bracket. The bracket alone allows you to mount the frame to the wall.
  • You can use a frame stand instead of a wall if you prefer not to display your earring holder that way.

Step 9

You can now hang your earring holder after waiting for the glue to dry. You can now hang your earrings into the mesh. You can use this method with earring posts or hooks.

You will have to remove the back of your post earrings, thread them through the mesh, and then replace the backs.
